Bet sizing is the amount of chips an opponent chooses to bet or raise. The size of their wager tells you a lot about their hand strength and intentions. Learning to interpret bet sizing is a core hand reading skill in Teen Patti.

A small bet usually has two meanings. The player may hold a medium-strength hand and want to get a cheap showdown. They make a small bet to get a call without risking many chips. Alternatively, a tiny bet can be a weak bluff. The bluffer spends a small number of chips hoping everyone folds.

A medium-sized bet is the most common value bet. Players with strong hands like colour or sequence use medium bets. They want opponents to call and add chips to the pot, but they do not want to scare everyone away with an over-bet. Medium bets most often represent genuine hand strength.

An over-bet means betting a very large amount compared to the current pot. Over-bets can signal two opposite things. Some players over-bet with premium hands like trail to extract maximum value. Other players use huge over-bets as bluffs, trying to force opponents to fold immediately. You need player history to tell which it is.

A min-raise is the smallest possible raise. Min-raises are often used by players with medium hands. They want to apply slight pressure without committing too many chips. Min-raises can also be traps by strong hands trying to lure calls.

Also watch for bet sizing patterns over time. If a player always makes big bets with strong hands and small bets with bluffs, you can exploit this pattern. Good players mix their bet sizes to avoid creating predictable tells. They sometimes bluff with medium bets and value bet with large bets to confuse opponents.

Bet sizing alone is never enough. Combine it with their position, past tendencies and the number of active players. A large bet in a heads-up pot has a different meaning from the same large bet in a multi-way pot.

By paying attention to how much your opponents bet, you gain extra clues about their holdings. Reading bet sizing helps you decide whether to fold, call or raise.
