Carrom queen rules: the cover

Understand the central idea, then check the exceptions.

What covering means

The published Laws define covering as pocketing your own carromman on the same or immediately following stroke when or after the queen is pocketed. Eligibility and exceptional situations need the full law text.

Think before the shot

Before attempting the queen, describe your intended follow-up. Use an open practice layout to explore how that plan changes when a target is blocked.

Resolve uncertainty

Pause and identify the exact sequence: what was pocketed, in what order, and whether the stroke was proper. Ask the umpire or consult the adopted rules instead of applying a remembered shortcut.
